Part 46/48 New Miner Training

Because the mining industry inherently creates hazardous working conditions, MSHA requires both new and current miners to complete specialized safety training to teach them to recognize health and safety hazards, minimize accidents and injuries, protect themselves in hazardous and emergency situations, and facilitate MSHA compliance.

24-hour New Miner Training is required for all New Miners, Everyone in the mine has to know and be familiar with all the safety rules.This New Miner course will also cover Introduction to the Work Environment at a local surface sand and gravel operation for those that will be working in that environment.

Day 1: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Day 2: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Day 3: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM
